Preparatory year at the Medical University of Plovdiv

The foundation programme is an educational programme based on the British model, designed to fill the gaps in the educational system from which international students come. This compensatory programme helps to acquire knowledge and qualifications that may not have been covered in the secondary school programme.

• Bulgarian Language
• English Language (with emphasis on academic/medical terminology)
• Latin Language with medical terminology
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

The preparatory year of the Medical University of Plovdiv is addressed to foreign students who want to study Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy in English-speaking programs. It is an intensive two-semester program that combines language and scientific preparation, providing all the necessary skills for a successful academic career.

Duration of the programme and payment of fees

The preparatory year usually starts in October and ends in June.
Tuition fees of 4.000 € are paid in two instalments: September and February.
