Entrance test – Plovdiv Medical University

172 student candidates participated on 16.04.2024 for the first online exams in biology and chemistry for foreign students at the Medical University of Plovdiv. The exam was held in two parts – morning and afternoon, with candidates divided into 4 sections. The largest percentage of candidates came from “England” – 85 candidates, from “Italy” – 35 candidates, while 19 candidates were from “Greece”. Out of the 19 Greek candidates of the entrance exams, 14 submitted their papers with the help of “SB-ACADEMY”. Among the students wishing to study at Plovdiv Medical University were candidates from “Ireland”, “Germany”, “Cyprus”, “Turkey”, “The Netherlands” and “Norway”.

70% of the biology test had questions from anatomy, which is taught in Bulgarian schools, which made it very difficult for candidates from Greece and Cyprus. Our candidates who were excellently prepared managed to cope with the difficulties of the exam and we are looking forward to the official results.

The marks for participation in the final ranking are formed by averaging the marks in biology and chemistry from the secondary school leaving certificate, according to the Bulgarian grades (with a pass mark of 6), and the marks from the entrance examinations in biology and chemistry, multiplied by three. Admission to university is based on points. The minimum number of points required for a candidate to be admitted to the final ranking is 24 and the maximum 42.

For those interested in studying medicine, dentistry and pharmacy there are still four dates available. The next date for the entrance examination is 21.05.2024.
