Dear graduates,
Today, we are here to say goodbye to a special and unforgettable chapter in your lives. It is difficult to describe how proud we are of you and the successes you have achieved during this precious time.
In every lesson you have learned, every challenge you have faced and every moment you have shared with us and your fellow students, you have cultivated your knowledge, your humanity and your perseverance. You are true protagonists in this success story.
As we bid you farewell and see you spread your wings to new challenges, we want to remind you to always remain committed to your dreams. The world looks forward to the contributions and imminent impact you will make in the field of medicine.
The road of life is like a journey, and you are now preparing to open a new chapter. Always believe in yourself, in the power of your abilities and in the immeasurable influence you can have in the world.

Medical Oath – Medical University Plovdiv
Oaths to me to be a maker of all things, and not to be beaten, but to be praised, and to glorify both life and art to all men for ever. “And by transgressing and by fornicating, he shall not be able to do so.”
This promise was made by 358 medical graduates, reciting the Hippocratic Oath, and then they threw off their hats to mark their graduation.
“The academic leadership of Plovdiv Medical University is proud of your achievements. Enjoy your achievements, love and respect your future profession! Feel special for being a physician!”, addressed the graduates by the interim rector Dr. Janet Grudeva-Popova, PhD.
The average grade point average for graduates is a very good 4.71 and the average state test grade is a very good 4.93 with a perfect 6.
146 of the students were trained in Bulgarian and 212 in English. Proud of their diplomas from MU-Plovdiv are foreign students from 16 countries, including Great Britain, Greece, Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Norway and Seychelles.
Six of the foreign graduates who studied in English graduated with excellent grades in their studies and in the state examinations.
The honour of reading the Hippocratic Oath in English was given to medical graduate Aristides Velissarides.
