UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES & OTHER SPECIALIZATIONS IN BULGARIA
Whatever specialisation you want to study, Bulgarian universities offer all the specialisations offered by universities in Greece.

The bachelor’s degree is a kind of basic specialisation and lasts 4 years.
For those who wish to build on their knowledge, they can continue their studies and obtain a postgraduate degree similar to their bachelor’s degree.
In the Bachelor’s programmes in Bulgarian, the student must spend 1 academic year in Bulgarian at the Language Preparation Department in order to acquire the necessary knowledge of the Bulgarian language and to become familiar with the topics and terminology related to the respective specialisation.
Each university has a corresponding Department of Language Preparation. You can learn the language at any of them, regardless of whether you continue your studies at that university. When choosing one, you should base your choice on: quality of teaching (mainly from reviews of previous students), which document you will receive upon successful completion of the language course (the certificate that most universities issue is not recognized in Greece, as it does not have a specific level of proficiency in Bulgarian) and last but not least: what the annual tuition fees are.
Contact us and we will provide you with detailed information about each language preparation course.
Every applicant for a specialisation, for which the education is in Bulgarian, must demonstrate a level of language proficiency – minimum B2 according to the Common European Framework of Languages (click on https://europa.eu/europass/en )
If you are fluent in Bulgarian, but do not have the necessary language proficiency certificate, please contact the SB-ACADEMY team to make an appointment for the Bulgarian language exam before the respective university for the language proficiency certificate. (click and place the point on the certificates in Bulgarian and foreign language).
Foreign EU students wishing to study bachelor’s degrees in Bulgarian can take a candidate exam or present (for certain majors) an English language proficiency document and register at the university, paying the same fees as Bulgarian students (from 400 E to 600 E per year).
The process of preparing the documents is quite difficult, but our team will do whatever it takes to get you started studying in Bulgaria with minimal tuition fees.
The bachelor’s programmes in Bulgarian can be found in detail at the Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Department of Pedagogical Sciences, Department of Philology, Department of Philosophy and History, Department of Chemical Sciences, etc.
